While hip-hop has put the focus on the brand over the last 24 months, others not influenced by such musical personas will discover unique and proper fit t-shirts and sweatshirts with printed graphics unlike others on the market. Birds and robots against nude women – all adorned in that spring feathering theme – will work for anyone that tries. Maxfield has the collection and it looks amazing.

When you think you know what New York designer Thom Browne is up to, he releases such a piece. From the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection we present the Hooded Technical Windbreaker. Featuring a water resistant upper, the jacket comes in a classic light grey suit colorway, featuring signature tricolor drawstrings on the cuffs, sleeves, hood and the bottom of the jacket. A metal finish on the drawstrings adds to the premium nature of the overcoat.

Christian Louboutin is getting you ready for the summer and introduces two Espadille style shoes for Spring/Summer 2012 – the Papi Hugo Flat with emblem embroidery on the front and the Papiounet Flat with tassel details.

Riccardo Tisci puts a unique spin on these leather boots for Givenchy’s Spring 2012 collection. The boots display some workboot-like characteristics with the moc toe and via the overall silhouette, but with a far more luxurious appearance. An ankle strap was placed at the top of the boots for an extra dimension. Two colors are available including an all blacked out pair with an orange lining, and a nice tan pair with chunky white sole.

From the new Pointer Spring/Summer 2012 Collection we present the Willard. Part of the Rivington Collection, a premium line of hand-crafted footwear styles by the brand, the Willard lace-up stands out because of its Espadrille mid-sole. The nice and clean suede uppers work well with the contrasting leather lining. Overall a subtle shoe that attracts attention because of its details.

More from G-town, Switzerland: Hermes delivered their new Dressage watch this week at Baselworld. The new Dressage watch is available in two versions in pink gold and either in steel

Sometimes we forget that Louis Vuitton makes more than just super ubiquitous bags, so this Spring/Summer 2012 lookbook is a nice reminder of that. Of course, ever sinceKim Jones landed at the label, it’s been easier to remember and his debut collection is sturdy to behold.

The designer took inspiration from his childhood in South Africa, and it shows, as the collection is a studious blend of cosmopolitan cleanliness and safari breeze (can not believe we just typed that). Try as we might we are having trouble getting behind the sandals, however. Sandals being a tough-sell in general and these looking like simplified Tevas.
