Marcelo Burlon T-Shirts

Italian designer Marcelo Burlon brings his iconographic vision to life on an unexpected canvas, unveiling a line of T-shirts in collaboration with graphic designer Giorgio Di Salvo. The visually stunning displays of graphic prints throughout offers a nod to multicultural elements including Mapuches crosses from his motherland Patagonia, Argentinean bird feathers, esoteric symbols, and nods to rave and club culture, to offer a diverse and arresting display of wearable art.

The T-shirt, Burlon attests, is “clothing at its most basic and effective… a playground, a declaration of intents; a political manifesto, even.” His friends Macs Iotti (L’Uomo Vogue) andGivenchy head designer Riccardo Tisci serve as inspiration for the surrealist designs — in fact, the manipulated, kaleidoscopic graphics call to mind those presented for the aforementioned brand’s recent menswear collections.
